Subsurface Interpretation

This in-person class at the Kuala Terengganu Drawbridge will introduce beginners to the core concepts of subsurface interpretation, focusing on the theoretical and data processing techniques essential for analyzing geological data. Participants will learn how to interpret seismic data, well logs, and other geophysical information to create accurate subsurface models, all within a classroom setting without physical practical exercises.

The course will guide you through the key methods of data analysis, including identifying structural features, understanding stratigraphy, and integrating various data types to build a comprehensive geological understanding. The approach involves interpreting seismic lines, correlating well logs, and applying structural and stratigraphic interpretation techniques to assess subsurface features accurately.

Attending this class will provide you with a solid foundation in the theory and data processing skills of subsurface interpretation, equipping you with the knowledge needed for exploration and development projects—all while enjoying the scenic surroundings of the Kuala Terengganu Drawbridge.
